Just what is going on here?  I know I'm critical of the Stock Market, but Jesus tap-dancing Christ, this is f'd up.

Up until today my sense of dread vis-a-vis the financial state of our union had been outweighed by my sense of anarchic glee at watching what I generally regard as a broken system fall apart.
