Band Site Updated

So I finally get to show off the fruits of my web-developing labor: my band's revamped website.

*Note, if the link takes you to a site with a grey background, that's the old site, and the DNS is still freaking slow. Sorry. The new site has a black background and some astral body in the bottom right corner.

I've really enjoyed doing some web development--although it has not been headache-free by a long shot. But it's been challenging and rewarding. And as much as I'd love to hang my shingle out there as a web developer, I know better. First, I'd have no idea what to charge. Second, it's a really simple site that I built and it's far from complete. Third... what's third? Oh yeah, the kind of development I can do is not ideal for most people--not while Java web hosting is as pricy as it is.

Be all that as it may, I've got a Google App Engine account, so I can make some stuff for me and post it and host it on the cheap, including the website for my band. And I've got the tools to layer in all kinds of fun stuff--the original version of the site, which was plain HTML pages, was chock-full of easter eggs; just think of what I can do with dynamic content!!

Anywho, today's blog post is a shameless plug. So, there it is.
